Do you remember a time when you felt the lowest in your life? You just couldn't catch a break? Things seemed to come one right after another? And then someone did or said something to cheer you up? or someone gave you something that cheered you up?
Donating is very important in my life, because I've been through some things where I really needed help, and someone offered me that help. It left a mark on my life that will never be erased. I find this organisation very special, because they provide much needed beauty essentials to women who are dealing with domestic violence and let's not forget the children as well. I've been in their shoes, and without the support system that was provided for me at that time, I may not be where I am today. I was able to get my life back on track, get back to school, hold a steady job, and marry a very gentle and loving man.
So helping women who were in the same situation as me, is something I find very dear to me. It's all about women helping women, and there is not much of that going around in our society today.
I know how great it feels to use a nice shower gel or put on a nice body lotion that makes me feel so pampered. Well, if you have, you are fortunate like myself. I've been fortunate to always have a job, and been fortunate that even when I didn't have a job (like now), I still never went without. Sure I'm not rich, not even close, but do I have anything to complain about lately? No.
I want to share some of that good feeling that we get from simple beauty products to women who really need a pick me up and to start looking, and hopefully start feeling better about themselves.
Give and Makeup is an organisation I found in London who helps women that really need it. If you are open to donating to them, you can read about them HERE.
I am starting my donation box for them as I write this :)
I love this! I'm going to try to find something like this local to me!
