Free Soap & Glory Thick and Fast Mascara - Elle Magazine March Freebie

Hello ladies!! I know for all of us in the UK, we are currently freezing our a$$es off.  I hope everyone is bundled up and indoors.  Unfortunately for me, I had to go to the supermarket, so I walked (very fast) there, and as compensation for the torturous walk, I bought myself a magazine.

This magazine features: Free Soap & Glory Thick & Fast mascara (full size), 20% off/£2 off £10 voucher on any Soap & Glory product at Boots, and a Dior invitation for a free makeover and samples.  Not to shabby for freebies :)

I'll definitely be taking advantage of the Dior invitation, and about to go online to look up reviews from other bloggers about S&G makeup.  So act fast, and grab your copy as these are bound to sell out fast.

I also saw these pair of shoes by Fendi and fell in love <3  I'm usually not a fan of slip on mules, but I like the overall look of these.

Latest in Beauty Perfume Sample Box Reveal

My sample perfume box arrived today! and I love it.  For only £4.95 posted, I think that this was quite a bargain.  It's not a monthly subscription, it's just a one off that I knew I had to have.

I know that samples are free, but one of the items in the box is actually an item that is sold at SpaceNK for £18.  Plus I never tried any of their perfumes, so this is was the cheapest way for me to try it.

So onto the reveal....

The box contents were:
SpaceNk Laughter
L'Occitane Pivoine Flora
Liz Earle Botanical Essence No 1
Elie Saab
Yardley Royal English Daisy

The two that interested me the most was obviously SpaceNK and L'occitane

The generous sample size was alluring.
Laughter is just a bit too citrusy/house lemon cleaner smell.  I love citrus fragrances, but there is just something about this that seems one dimensional and flat. I swear I had an air freshener once that smelled like this.

But the L'occitane fragrance is so lovely. It's light and floral, and I may even buy the full size bottle one day.  It's really delicate, soft, and clean floral scent.

Now out of these small spray samples, I thought I wouldn't like any of them.
They just don't seem to fit the demographics for me; however, the Yardley is actually quite nice.  If you want a simple fresh and floral scent, this is a cheap alternative.

The Elie Saab perfume was a big shocker too.  I actually hated the top note, but after 5 minutes on my skin, I really liked how the sweetness arose.  This is actually a good perfume that shifts very fast once you spray it on you.

The Liz Earle perfume is just a little too "green" scented for me.  Once again, I feel like I've had an air freshener that smelled like this too.

Perfume taste is so subjective, so I don't want to go on and on about it, since perfumes smell different to everyone, but this post is to show you just what a wonderful deal that I got from Latest in Beauty.
Be sure to check them out at

Oh and Happy Thanksgiving weekend to all my US crew xx
Hope you're eating tons of turkey and enjoying quality time with family :)

Mine as well be free alert - Latest in Beauty Perfume Box

Yes it mine as well be free, because it's just that cheap. For £4.95 (postage included), you are getting a box posted to you with perfume samples and minis.

Now I'm going to be honest, because there is one thing that worries me.
I am going to take a gamble and still purchase this, because I really just want it for the SpaceNK laughter perfume, which alone cost £20, but it does say in tiny print on the bottom that:
"items may vary per box".

Now if I don't get the SpaceNk perfume, I'm going to be annoyed, but that is the risk you take sometimes with these types of companies that offer something at such a cheap bargain.
So it's up to you guys, but I still wanted to blog about this offer, because it is a good way of sampling perfumes :)

Freebie Alert - Clarins Vital Light Day Cream 30ml worth £34

I thought this was definitely worth posting. Buy the December issue of Woman & Home and take page 129 to the Clarins counter at your nearest department store and you'll receive a personalised skincare consultation and free super travel size of Vital Light Day SPF 15, worth £34. Offer available until 30 November 2011.

Now I don't think that I would like this magazine, and not to make a general assumption, but I don't think most of my readers are either, but maybe you can give the magazine to someone that might read it afterwards? Just a thought. I'll definitely be grabbing mine, because I love Clarins products.

Free Models Own Lipgloss

Well plans are meant to be changed right? Looks like I'm not making my trek to London after all, but saw something pretty cool on my Facebook wall.

Buy 2 Diet cokes at Boots and you get a free Models Own lipgloss (worth £6).  I love when Boots does this, and since I haven't tried a Models Own lipgloss before, I will definitely take advantage of this offer.
Plus I love Diet Coke too <3

Mini freebie haul

If only you could see the state of my room.  I'm sitting here feeling guilty about not cleaning up (I'm a bit of a neat freak), spending way too much money on magazines, and eating the most delicious meal I've made in a long time (yeah going to have to go on an extra long walk with Oscar tonight).  I have a mini haul which only consist of freebies from the magazines that I got.  I should be saving up for my upcoming cruise, new house, killer black boots, or something else important, but I just can't say no to magazines.
I need my monthly fashion fix or else I feel incomplete.

So here's my mini haul that came with this month's magazines.

Nails Inc Nail Polish
not sure about the colour but it's a pure nude shade and since I didn't have a nude polish, I grabbed this one.  The others were a vampy Burgundy shades (which I have plenty of).
Body Shop voucher card

and Lip Rock lipgloss in Rose
which is basically the same company as Nail Rock.
I've noticed that a lot of NP companies are now making lipglosses such as Ciate.
I was skeptical about the quality, but this is actually a sheer and very moisturizing lipgloss.

Here's my manicure using the Nails Inc nude.
The tips are painted with Nars Purple Rain

Sorry my pics are crappy! The sun is now going down around 2:45ish and so it's just too small of a window for me to take photos, ugh.  Winters are no fun when the sun starts setting so early.

I'm loving all the new issues with their focus on what other than Christmas! I'm loving all the sparkle, metallic, glitter, and dark hues. It's definitely my favourite colours/materials out there, and I found loads of inspiration and things that I felt were droolworthy! Of course I'm only going to list the items within my budget, otherwise I'd be listing Christian Louboutin pumps at £895 or the star print D&G dress that everyone has been wearing :p

Studded Tights!
I need to get my hands on these. Pair these up with black ankle booties and you have instant sex appeal without looking too girly.

After seeing this, it just solidified in my mind that I need the Chanel mat top coat.
I tested it the other day when a fellow blogger told me that it was different from the other mat coats. She was right.  It wasn't like Essie's matte about you that left your nails feeling like a  chalk board, the Chanel mat topcoat creates a slightly rubber texture, and I'm IN LOVE!
This manicure inspires me so much, because it is exactly the style of nail art that I love.

So here's to adding more items onto my wishlist :)

What's everyone lemming for this Christmas?

Magazine Freebies

I just love talking about these freebies, because ...well frankly it's just awesome :)

This month check out:

Glamour Magazine for a free £11 Nails Inc nail polish. I haven't seen the colour choices yet, but I'll be taking advantage of this tomorrow, so I'll post then.

Also, Elle is giving away a £20 Kurt Greiger voucher. I'm not familiar with this designer, but it's worth it especially since the magazine is less than £4.

So other than picking up some free magazines while I'm posting ebay packages...tomorrow is going to be a bit of a bore - back to work :::bleh:::

And...here's some more puppy spam :p
While I'm good at talking too much, my pup is good at sleeping :)
Goodnight everyone!

Hurry, because I heard some are getting it and some aren't.  Natural Collection's lipsticks and mascaras are only £1.99, so it works out free.  I picked up a lipstick for my Mother in Law, and there were no issues.  You should also get a double points voucher in the mail, and these all stack.

Who doesn't love free stuff?

I wanted to write this post, because I wanted to share with you all how I obtain my free samples (deluxe samples too).

In the last month, I have scoured the internet and freebie websites, and have signed up for tons of free samples.  They actually work! I have gotten tons of skincare and perfume samples (along with other samples like coffee, tea, etc. etc.).  So if you are interested and don't mind giving out your address, check out these websites.

Sign up for their daily emails.
Totally legit, no funny business.  They just link you to the company's website or Facebook page, and you choose whether you want to sign up to get a freebie or not.

For instance, today I got the new Molton Brown Rogard perfume sample, and Good Things Miracle Mattifier Moisturiser for FREE.

I seriously get a free sample in the mail everyday now, and I haven't shelled out a penny.

So if you love samples like me, check those sites out!

Boots Great Skincare Swap - Free Clinique and Benefit samples

From October 5th - 18th, Boots is hosting the skincare swap at Benefit and Clinique counters. So if you bring any used skincare product, they will give you free samples.

Great way to recycle and great way to try new products.
You can pick up one of these during the swap

Clinique - Take the day off or High impact mascara
Benefit - Tripe performing emulsion or Potent eye cream

So if you have any skincare products collecting dust, head to your local Boots.
Go fast, because once the samples are gone, they are gone.

Stay tuned for my monthly recycled products and what I used reveal.

My Anniversary

Who's anniversary is it? It's me and DH!!!! 4 years married, 7 years together today :)
I never imagined myself to be married, let alone with the same guy for this long haha, but it's true.  I have been MIA for a bit due to work, and prepping for "date" night. So I've been slacking on the posts for sure! But I'm back with some reveal photos and other snapshots that I took while I was out today.

So my guy and I have been together for 7 years. We did promise not to buy presents this year, because moving to England really ate up our savings. I woke up today and found a 2 page hand written letter from him.  I read it while I was getting ready and almost cried.  I'm not a very emotional person, in fact I'm quite the opposite. I guess this is just an adverse reaction to my 20's when I was extremely emotional about everything! haha!  So if you know me personally, then you know that I was super touched to muster up a tear :p  The letter said that despite being together for 7 years, it feels like we just met.  That made my day!

The other reason why I love him so much, is that he accepts that I love being online, working on my blog, and other geeky computer stuff :) He's the same, so thank god he understands that despite being our anniversary, that I have to get this one post in. LOL!

So today, DH took me out to lunch at a really good Thai restaurant.  The food was great! Owners were super friendly, and just a great start to our anniversary.  Despite sitting in the doctor's waiting room for awhile, I was able to pop into town to see all the new Christmas stuff out already. I'm so excited!!!!
I love Christmas, and I can't wait for December. Roll on!

So popping into Boots while I'm in town is my normal routine now, and I saw some really cool things. Check it out! A whole row of Soap & Glory. WOW!  One of those huge hampers cost £60.  See, I think that's a great deal, but I'm still converting into dollars, and I keep asking myself, would I spend a $110 on a Soap & Glory back in the states? Probably not, so why would I buy that here, but if you have that cash, that's a wonderful gift to buy for someone!

I do really like the packaging, their humour, and their products aren't that bad either.

They don't mess around here in England. Christmas gift packages are already out, and my eyes just naturally caught some of the nail polish sets.
Sorry my picture is craptastic. The bottom 4 polishes are actually quite jewel-tone rich and shimmery. I have never tried her polishes, but I really thought these were nice.

You know I'm a sucker for anything black & gold, so I immediately saw these.

I didn't get a picture of the Boots 17 magnetic polishes (£5.99), but they had a whole stand. The colours were a steel, dark purple, and a dark green.  I am actually tempted by them.
On other nail polish news.
At Asda, they had a new crackle stand out for the George Polishes.
As you know, I'm personally sick of crackle, but these were only £2 and they had several colours.
So not too bad if you love this nail trend.

Superdrugs also had their gifts sets out. Unfortunately, my superdrugs sucks, so they only had one row.  These stuck out to me immediately.  I wish they sold other Andrea Fulerton polishes, because I'm dying to try some.  What do you all think of this set?  I've heard such great things about Andrea Fulerton's polishes.

Just so you all know. Both Boots and Superdrugs is having 3 for 2 sale on their Christmas sets, so start your shopping early and save a little.

So I walked around a lot today with DH.  Went into Debenhams to grab my free sample of the Lancome Foundation that they were advertising.

So as you know, I'm still on my project 10 pan ban, but it was my anniversary so I cheated a little. Really...just a little. oopsy!

I can't live without my magazines. I just feel off without my monthly fix of fashion.
Plus it came with a free L'occitane hand cream. This is my #1 hand cream EVER!
So I definitely grabbed this.

And I bought Nail Polish remover. I go through so much of this stuff, it's not even funny.
I also bought contact solution, but I'm not going to bore you with those pictures :p

So I finally saved up enough Boots points - £16!!!!
Now I'm trying to think what I should buy.  I'll be saving up a bit more until Christmas, but any suggestions??  My Boots has a Dior, Benefit, Clarins, Estee Lauder, and Clinique counter.  I'm so giddy that I get to use my points soon.
What would you get if you had £16 to spend?

Then I popped into TK Maxx to look for some salon size bottles of hair conditioner, but they didn't have anything I liked, but I did see some House of Holland tights.  These are slowly starting to be some of my favourite tights.  I got a two tone stocking tights, and a grey knee high socks with some gold chain designs.  God, I love House of Holland so much!  And I paid £2 each, so even a bigger bargain.  Is this considered cheating on the ban?
It's not a beauty product :p

So that's it. It's not much, but I also didn't want to drag DH around too long. It is his anniversary too haha, and I knew he didn't want to spend it waiting around for me.
So we ate a really good meal, and I grabbed some small things.
Overall, it was a good day.

And on the way home, I snapped a pic of my bag that I carried today.
Louis Vuitton Damier Speedy 30.

Sorry this post is all over the place. I just feel like I'm jumping from here to there.
But it's now late, and I need to sleep at a decent hour tonight.
So saying hello and I should return soon with my scheduled posts soon.

Take care lovelies!

Project 10 Pan Update and More

As usual, it feels like forever since I started this Project 10 pan, but really it hasn't even been that long. I'm almost done, and I'm quite pleased with myself to be able to stick to this ban.  I'm also happy to have actually used some of the products that I have.  Some items however didn't end up working for me, so they did go to a new home, but they have been replaced with another item to keep this project going.

1.  Boots botanics hair mask
2.  Sanctuary Bath relaxer
3.  Boots botanics leave-in volumising conditioner
- passed onto a friend & replaced with the Johnson face scrub
4. Make up for ever duo mat foundation
5.
Make up for ever fuchsia lipstick (travel size) - passed onto a friend & replaced it with the Batiste Fresh Dry shampoo
6.  Boots hair serum - about 50% left now
7. MAC powerpoint eyeliner in stubborn brown - passed onto a friend & replaced it with the
Herbal Essence Hair Conditioner
8.  Neutrogena lip boost
9.  Boots almond body butter
10. Premium almond cuticle oil

So as you can see, I had to pass up some items, because it just didn't work for me. Truthfully, isn't that what using your products are all about.  I had no idea those items didn't work for me, because I barely used them ha! So I just have one last item to use, and then I'm OFF this ban!!!!!!!!! I don't even know what to buy first. Part of me is trying to save for the upcoming holidays, but the beauty addict in me is screaming at me to run to the shop and buy something quick! lol.

I will say that of all the items listed above, there is only one item that I would repurchase, and that is the Batiste dry shampoo.  I finished it this morning, and can't wait to crack open my other 2 bottles that I have stored.  This is my go to dry shampoo due to it's affordable price, and effectiveness.

Onto other news...
I have been obsessed lately with trying to get vouchers, and free samples.  I pretty much partake in everything out there that will save me some money.  So as part of my frugalista ventures, I also take advantage of Asda's price guarantee program, and recently got £3.05 back from my shopping, so I turned around and purchased this with it LOL

I couldn't help myself. I was itching for a magazine! I can't pass up magazine freebies, I know now this. I could have used my voucher towards any product, but instead I rushed to grab this.  The freebie was a Misguided tote bag.  I don't even like this bag. The fact that I would still grab it shows my level of addiction when it comes to magazines and their freebies. Yes I am a victim of marketing my friends.

I also have some other things to chat about too.
I'm so excited for the blog giveaway. I absolutely love Incoco nail strips, and they are sponsoring my 75 follower blog giveaway.  If you are like me, and love nail art, or just a very busy person, these nail strips are for you.  They are so easy to apply, no drying time needed, and the designs are awesome.  I am so pleased that one of my readers will get a grab bag full of their products!  The link to my blog giveaway is on the right hand panel over there =======>>>>>>>>>

Let's see..onto more blabbing.
I saw these at poundland (I didn't buy them), and thought they were funny.  Nail Polish is really all the rage now isn't it.
At first glance I thought...whats gruesome about these colours? It's a creme orange, indigo blue/purple, and a black. lol.  I don't think these are particarly for Halloween or gruesome, but I guess for a 7 year old it would be?? They had racks of this, so I really couldn't miss it.
Nor could I miss all the other brand name nail polishes just thrown into a big box for people to rummage through.  It's quite a bargain bin, and if you haven't been in poundland, because it's "cheap", definitely hop in there, I couldn't believe all the brand name cosmetics in there.  It's definitely 100 times better than the dollar stores that I've been to in America.

And last but not least, before I start with my regular postings of reviews and all...
I wanted to share with you the ring that I got a while back.  Topshop is one of my favourite stores, hands down!  But I didn't know that Topman had a jewelry section too.  Go on with your bad self men! That's right, even men can wear jewelry and still be masculine :)
So I popped upstairs to topman and found so many rings that I love!!!
I did just come out with one though, and for only £1 what a freaking bargain. I love this ring, I need more like it too!

So that's it for now, I will make sure to return with some regular reviews and swatches :)
Take care ladies xx

Red Magazine's September 2011 Freebie: Balance Me body wash

If I didn't have 7 body washes, I would jump on this like white on rice.

This month's freebie is a Balance Me body wash, retail £8.

I really don't think my post office likes me taking photos of magazines, they give me dirty looks haha. But I do it, because I love you all xx

Cosmopolitan September 2011 Magazine Freebie - Free Eylure Eyelashes

I am at the post office every single day.  I wonder why they aren't nicer to me then?
The interesting difference between the states and here is that the post office is usually in a lot of news agent stores; where as, the post office (fed government ran) in the states are in their own government buildings.  It's much more fun to go to the post office here.  I especially love going through all the magazines while I'm waiting in line haha.

This month Cosmopolitan is giving away a free eylure.
I think these lashes look quite lovely, and I am quite tempted, but I need to keep my magazine purchases to a minimum right now, so if you have the extra 3.60 laying around - go now and grab your copy :)

August magazine freebies

I wanted to show you guys this month's magazine freebies.  I didn't personally purchase any of them, because none of them stuck out to me, but maybe it will for you.

So here are the pictures I took while I was out and about.  I bet they were watching me on the security camera thinking .." wtf is that girl doing" lol. Sorry about the crappy pictures, but I felt weird standing their snapping pictures LOL - so I got some quick shots for you.

Cosmo had 3 different types of nail polish by Mssguided

This is the only one that remotely tempted me. Ciate lipgloss in this month's Marie Claire. The only reason that I didn't take the plunge is because I have way too many lipglosses that need to be worn.

This month, Instyle was giving away Body Shop eyeliners and mascara.
I didn't need yet another eyeliner, so I skipped this months, but they are full size eyeliners, so I'm sure lot of people will take advantage of this.

So here's a quick post, if you haven't gotten yours and you like these, go now. They always run out really fast.  I reckon the body shop ones will go the fatest.
