Rococo Gold Leaf Dupe DIY

Rococo Gold Leaf is a definite luxury purchase.
As gorgeous as she is, not many can stomach forking over £22.50

Gorgeous yes, practical? Definitely not...but then again, when was practical ever drool worthy?
Well, google does come in handy ladies, doesn't it?
I came across a great post by Makeupwithdrawal, she gives a great tutorial on how to make your own gold leaf nail polish so check it out.

When I was in an arts & craft store today, I couldn't help but notice that these foils come in different colours, and I just thought they would make amazing nail polishes.

I particularly like this one.  Very "fall" themed in my opinion.
So it's definitely worth checking out your local arts & craft shop, and if all fails there is always ebay.

  1. Good DIY idea! I hesitate to use mine cause I feel like it's such a waste! :(

  3. You have to be careful with what kind of foils you use. If you use ones that aren't specifically for nail polish or nail art, they can turn green in nail polish or they can completely dissolve. :( Good luck!!
