Yardley London's New Bath and Body Products

This review is long overdue, so my apologies for that.  When it comes to affordable skincare, we are always so skeptical about the quality.  I know I'm guilty of that.  I always felt that the more expensive something was, the better, but the truth is that it's not always the case.  I was more than excited to try out the new skincare range from Yardleys.

Today's review is on the:

* Luxury Body Wash (200ml, £3.50)
* Moisturising Body Lotion (250ml, £5.99)
* Nourishing Hand and Nail Cream (100ml, £3.99)

I was really concerned that the scent would be overwhelming and that I would gag from it, because actually I hate the scent of Rose.  Fresh roses I like, but in creams I absolutely detest.  I was so surprised though that these didn't have me running to the bathroom to wash it off.  It was quite subtle. But this review is not about the scent, but more about the quality of the skincare products.

I have to say that my favourite by far was the nourishing hand & nail cream.  It was very moisturising and not oily at all.  Within minutes of applying it, I was able to go about my business.  Don't you hate it when you apply hand lotion or cream and it just leaves an oily residue on things.  Maybe I'm just slightly "OCD", but it's a pet peeve of mine, and I was very happy that this product sank into my skin immediately.  So for that reason, the hand cream gets a thumbs up.

The body wash lathered up very well, and didn't leave my skin to feel dry.  That is a major bonus to any body wash.  I didn't want to smell like Roses, so I after a couple of uses, I actually gave this to my mother in law.  She suffers from dry skin and is very particular about what body wash she uses.  Having said that, she absolutely loved it and raved about the moisturising qualities of the body wash.  So if this product works for me and an elderly lady, then you know its a universal product that anyone can use really.

The moisturising lotion was the least favourite of mine in the bunch, but that doesn't mean it wasn't a good body lotion.  It was light and moisturising, but my skin was craving something a bit more thicker.  The product is fine if you just need a light moisturiser for the skin, but if it's dry and chapped then you may find that this product won't do the job.

I will definitely get these products in the English Daisy scent without a doubt.  I think they are so affordable and worth every penny.

If you want to purchase yours, you can go purchase at Boots and Yardley's online.
