New Shoes

It is Jubilee weekend.  I never knew what this whole Jubilee was about, but apparently it's a big deal over here lol! I guess I truly am an American.  Well, my in laws are having a family get together, and so I took off of work for the next 2 days (WOOHOO!!).  I think I'm a bit more excited about that than the actual Jubilee.  My Jubilee weekend will consist of me blogging, cleaning/sorting out my room, and getting stuff out to charities. 

Speaking of Charities, I have some new shoes to show you.  I got these at a whopping £1.80.  They are from a brand that I never heard of (Mustang), so I googled them of course and apparently Mr. Shoes was selling them for around £70 many moons ago.  I don't mind, they are just a nice bargain and the quality of the shoes were quite sturdy.  I'm trying to get out of this designer mentality, although I'll be honest, it is awfully hard to do.  But for £1.80, I really can't complain.  

 

and since I haven't spammed you guys with Oscar pics, here's is one of him.  He's doing well, still chasing cats and running after the birds lol.

But he's doing well and precious as ever.

So it does pay to pop into charity shops..oh did I add these were brand new as well? Best £1.80 that I have spent in a long long time.

Eck, I forgot to publish this post like ages ago, but it's just a quick post about some more charity items that I bought.Both items were purchased for a whopping grand total of 50p lol.  I love them, because they both speak to the 80's kid in me.

Charity Shop Haul

I recently started to work at a charity shop, and that is so bad for me as I am always buying something. I don't even know if I actually want this stuff, but for the price I have been buying. 

 

I spent less than £3 for everything.  I keep telling myself that I need to stop buying little things and save up for something substantial, but I just couldn't resist myself :)

Hive & Keaton - Bring it On

3 weeks of hauling

I've been working, working, working, shopping, working, sleeping, eating, sleeping, shopping, and working :)  You see a pattern there? Well this is my haul for the last few days, and also a reveal of a wonderful package from a lovely chic.

So without further ado, here are my new goodies.

First up are a few topshop and charity shop bargains that I picked up.  It's so easy to buy accessories.

 

Then I was bitching about how I didn't have any clothes, so in the midst of my self pity I went to H&M and picked up some items.

 

I especially love my cape coat.  I like the material and colour, because it brings a casual feel to this garment.  There was only one left and it was slightly too small for me, but a little tailoring at home allowed me to open it up, and now it fits like a glove.

So that's what I treated myself with, but the special treat actually came from across the pond.  An awesome chic sent me these nail polish goodies.  I have been having a hard time with my nail polish ban and it was such an awesome treat to get these stunning pieces in.

The first set is one that I have wanted forever, but just couldn't justify the cost.  Having said that, once I actually had it in my hands, I think it is worth every penny.  I just love Barney's and all their creative collaborations.  Sure, I'm not a Lady gaga fan, but I think her fashion sense is edgy and this polish set captures that.  I can't express how much I love this!

Sadly, I'm in a no glitter phase in my life, but it doesn't mean it's not gorgeous to look at, and this is a stunning set to have when I get back into glitter.

My Jewellery Haul: Topshop & Charity Shopping

Another thing I can't resist is jewellery, especially when it's black or gold or gunmetal....add spikes in it, I'm sold. I don't wear real jewellery, because I'm always losing it, so to me there is nothing better than getting costume jewellery for bargain prices.

My haul

This is my favourite piece to date.  This is actually black leather set in a gold plated bracelet.  I found this at a charity shop for only £1.50, and I absolutely love it.  I don't own anything like this in my stash.

I love spikes, so I picked up this set from topshop for only £1.50 (rrp £5), and the two circle earrings at a charity shop for 25p together. 

And last but definitely not least.  I can't believe this huge, chunky gunmetal necklace was only £1.50.  I mean what kind of profit are these huge retail stores making that they can get away with selling these at £1.50 each and still make something out of it!  This was £12.50 originally, but I'm happy to have paid £1.50.

Charity Shopping Haul

So....I am a huge charity shop (thrift/vintage store) junkie.  I need to be more active in showing you guys what I get, but I have gotten some really really good deals and items over the years.  The town I'm in now is outside of London, so it won't have the calibre of charity shops that the city offers, but I still love to go into the shops here, because there is nothing quite like a vintage english shop :).  I found this dress for only £1 and I was thrilled, because not only was it my size, but I have seen dresses exactly like this on the high street for much much more.  Slightly sheer, so I will need to find some sort of slip if I choose to wear it in public, but I have been loving this dress to wear around the house this summer.

 









Reminds me of Liberty of London, and for only £1, this is a bargain dress to have found.
